Can you believe it?!!!???!!?!?!?
Actually, I cannot. I woke up this morning to a 2-hour delay, which had me giddy enough since it would allow me time to finish reading a book I've been engrossed in before work.
I walked to campus as usual with David, but instead of getting on the bus to meet my carpool peeps, I stayed in the library and read. During that time, they ended up canceling Giles Co. for the day. So I am still sitting in the library on campus at VT, figuring out my plans for the rest of the day and what most needs my attention.
Below are a few pics from this morning's snow!!!!

Wow. Brings back memories of growing up in the "Great Southwest!" Snow at any amount is likely to close schools because there are some roads up in the "hollers" that just can't get cleared. And heaven help you if you're the person who makes the call to send the kids to school and any old bus on bald tires happens to slide off the road and into a ditch. "My babies could have been KILLED." That's what will be uttered by the scores of mothers who will trek out of the "hollers" to attend the next school board meeting...the one the local news crews just happen to attend and put footage from on the 10 o'clock news...but I digress. FOR THE RECORD: this never happened to me, but that kind of thing happened among "my people" all the time. I"m just saying...
hahaha.... you are so right. and that is why i love the fact that i work in a school system where people live up in the hollers! so many people today in bburg couldn't believe i was off, and i just couldn't explain to them. where were you when i could have used you today. you explain it and understand it SO WELL!!! i wish you were a parrot on my shoulder... :)
