Peekaboo

Yesterday daisy and I played peekaboo!

She was so cute trying to say 'peekaboo'

Ups and downs

Daisy has been up and down today staring the morning very much like her oldself but by afternoon she was worn down and clingy. Thanks so much to koren who came over to play with daisy so i could run out to the grocery store.

Dancer....artist...musician. Who would have thought from parents who had a half dozen varsity letters!

Daisy eating with a spoon!

Kind of...

She had fed herself four bites in a row and of course when I got out the camera she had grown impatient and decided hand to
mouth was much easier!

Hopefully she's getting better. She was 'herself' yesterday morning but certainly not during the day at the childrens nest. She threw up on her way home and slept from about 7pm to 6:30 am with some waking up for drinks... Let's hope today is a better day. Thanks to Amy Englund!

VT vs MD

On Tuesday night, Daisy had a special Valentine's date with her godmother Jeanette while David and I went to our beginning Chinese language class. After class, we grabbed a quick dinner and headed to Cassell Coliseum to meet Jeanette, her parents and Daisy for the VT vs MD basketball game.

Here's a pic Jeanette took before the game.

It was such an exciting game, and VT managed to pull away in the final few minutes. During that time, it was very loud in Cassell but Daisy had managed to fall asleep in my arms.

Here are a few pics from the evening:

Richmond

We were in Richmond last weekend to "pay up" on my parent's Christmas present. We gave them the gift of manual labor, since there's nothing really material they need, and they do need help getting some projects done around the house.

The guys (Dad, David and James) spent most of the time working on the garage, which needed new siding and plywood underneath.

The ladies (Mom, Cheri and I) spent most of our time working through boxes of stuff from the attic. This provided many moments of laughter as we tried to figure out why we ever bought XL t-shirts (neither Cher or I were XL growing up, nor are we now). We also read many old stories, journals, notes, etc. that had been saved for reasons sometimes unknown. Basically, we were pack-rats and are now trying to rid ourselves of unnecessary stuff.

The other part of our Christmas present to Mom and Dad was a nice dinner out at Bonefish Grill. We went on Friday night and I didn't think to take any pictures inside because Daisy wasn't having her best night (she was cutting teeth and was way more fussy than usual). I did get this one snapped of us after dinner outside.

Mema came for a visit on Saturday and here she is reading to Daisy.

Daisy and Grammy.

Daisy coloring.

Daisy eating dinner on Saturday night... we had pork burritos and she seemed to really like them.

Aunt Cheri gave Daisy new PJ's over the weekend for Valentine's Day, so Daisy wore them Sunday night.

And here is Daisy's red and pink Valentine's Day outfit she wore to daycare.

A Daisy morning

This morning Daisy was in a very snuggly mood as we were trying to get ready. One of the ways I was able to put her down and be able to put on my make-up was to give her a hat to play with. She loves hats (just like her mother).

Then, I took her to brush her teeth. She loves to try and brush (I think actually she just loves sucking on the kiddie-safe toothpaste).

Romp N' Roll

Back in November, I bought a daily deal coupon through the Roanoke Times that was a discounted month at Romp N' Roll. We had never taken Daisy and thought it might be great when the weather was cold outside. The deal allows us to purchase a one-month pass. This means Daisy gets to do one class/week and then she also gets to attend Open Gym. So far, she has enjoyed it.

We went last Sunday to Open Gym with Daisy's friend Penelope. Here are a few pics of Daisy playing.

On Wednesday night, she had her first Tumble Tunes class, and David accompanied her for that one.

Today, I took her to another open gym time, and again, she had fun. She almost got run over by some rowdy boys (a bit older), but overall she seemed to enjoy climbing.

Picts from last couple weeks!

Who has time to blog daily? Or even weekly?! It's amazing those that find time for it all. Here are some Picts I haven't had time to post from Philly forward...
