Snowy Sunday

Well we're sleeping in today...no church. Lots of snow outside!

David posted a bunch of videos yesterday morning. Hope you enjoyed!

I took some photos from the rest of the day...

Daisy in her snowsuit.
David, Wade, Jim, and Marcus (who was in town) went down the street and played no dribble snow basketball.
Daisy and I went to watch for 5 minutes just to get some exercise. We didn't stay out too long because it was so cold.
Daisy on her belly.
Today is Evan's birthday. A group of us celebrated last night with dinner at the Cellar and then games back at HOC.
MarioKart was a hit...
The boys played poker...Scotty & David were the last two.
Folks caught up with one another (Terri was in from out of town...)
Jim & Daisy having some fun...
Wade held Daisy while some Wii was being played...

This morning, we just lounged around. Here's Daisy just relaxing on a blanket.
David using the meat slicer to cut up some cheese. We got a big block at Sam's Club, and David sliced it up and we sealed some to save, kept some out to use.
Yum... look at all our stacks of cheese. I think we might be eating some grilled cheese soon...

Camille doncieux

These may not be masterpieces to everyone, but hey I'm her daddy and I'm biased and I say she is a masterpiece!

Wake me up before you go go

Well daisy is awake and happy after her little hour nap. She hasn't eaten in many hours and she isn't grumpy yet!

We were out of pancake mix so blueberry muffins are in the oven with water warming on the stove for hot cocoa when mommy gets up. Here are two videos of daisy just being daisy and the snow...

Let it snow let it snow...

Let it snow!!!! Becauuse... the fire is burning brightly... And daisy is dreaming of sugarplumb's dancing in her head and daddy will just have to dream of carol lees as they appear closed today... Off to make blueberry pantakes...

All through the house...

Not a creature (besides daddy) was stirring not even a daisy mouse....

The only noises in the house besides daisy's cough which two doctors say are okay... Is the crackle of the fire and the rumble of daddy stomach... Now that daisy is asleep maybe I can sneak out to carol lees...

Location:All through the house

Oh the weather outside is

Frightful, but you my dear daisy are delightful... All snuggled up in a blanket that has been more entertaining than any other toy this morning while daddy made a fire and debated whether or not to run out to carol lee's for some fresh made donuts and hot chocolate.... Yum!

The day after a great win...

Last night was a blast! Hokies won an amazing game in overtime! Wow! After the game, Lisa brought a pizza to our hotel and we chowed down.

Below are a few final pictures from the game last night:

Dongbo and Wade went to the game, too -- it was Dongbo's birthday!

Friday morning we slept in at the hotel. Here's Daisy snoozing in the room.

Once she woke up, I dressed her in her pink Nike outfit that our friend Jen gave her. Isn't she sporty and cute?

For lunch, we met our friends Ben and Emili and their two children. They are friends of ours from college and moved out to Los Angeles a year after graduation. This past year, they moved back to Virginia and now live in Charlottesville.

A daddy & daughter pose: David and Ben with their daughters.

After we left Bodo's Bagels, we headed to Lisa's house to let Daisy hang out with her Aunt a little longer. We then went to Anna's place and hung out for a bit, ending our evening eating dinner with Anna at LittleJohn's.

We made it back in time tonight to beat the snow... I'm guessing tomorrow we wake up to a white ground!

Gramma Chinn!

I don't have a lot of time at the moment but wanted to mention our exciting weekend. Gramma Chinn flew up from Florida for a long weekend!

Friday night we picked her up at the airport, then we ate dinner out and we went to see a movie. It was Daisy's first trip to a theater and she did great!

Saturday, we tried a new Mexican restaurant for lunch. Then we did a grocery trip to buy stuff for some cooking Gramma was going to do. Saturday evening, daddy & Gramma cooked several meals and desserts while Daisy and I watched.

Sunday we went to church, relaxed around the house, and watched football. David also finally "unlocked" Baby Daisy on MarioKart Wii.

Here are some photos:

Grammy & Grandpa come for a visit

I'm not sure if I mentioned it earlier, but we found out that Daisy had thrush again at her 4 month visit. That meant she was unable to go to daycare. Myself, Daddy and our friend Jess covered last Tuesday and Mama Staats covered Wednesday and Thursday. Daddy David covered Friday and then we had the weekend. While we were pretty sure it was going away, we thought we should keep her out a few more days. My mom rearranged a few things and she and my dad came Sunday afternoon. We all hung out on Monday since we were off for MLK day. Then Grammy & Grandpa watched Daisy all day Tuesday and half of today (Wednesday). Daisy returned to daycare this afternoon.

I know Daisy had a blast hanging out with them and we're so grateful they were able to come take care of her during one of the busiest times of semester for me at work.

Sunday

Today at church Joe asked us to gather up front to pray for Haiti together. We were up there until Daisy started coughing and couldn't stop. I took this pic from the back when we took her back to our seat to give her a drink from the bottle. It was neat to see everyone squished together in the first several rows.

After eating lunch, Daisy fell asleep on Daddy. I put her in her ladybug outfit today, which Grammy gave her. (Grammy is on her way for a visit right now.)

That's all for now...

Friday and Saturday

I worked yesterday (Friday) while David stayed home with Daisy, who has thrush and therefore isn't at daycare this week. David surprised me by bringing Daisy up to New River. What a great treat!

Here she is being held by Mark, my old boss.

After work, we were invited to the Staats home for a Wii game night. Here David watches Evan play.

Today, we visited the field house at VT for a track meet. David's sis was in town with the UVA team where she serves as the trainer. We took her some lunch and she got to snuggle with Daisy for a bit.

Here are David, Daisy and Lisa posing for a pic.

We had some folks over to watch the VT-FSU bball game (unfortunately the Hokies couldn't pull this one out). Our friend Jim had fun flying Daisy around in the air.

Finally, here's the video of the day. Wade and Daisy both making noises!5490355246033918
