Pics of week

Here are some pictures from the past week.

Daisy loves to wear her tutu... this is the purple one.

Sometimes she will wear the headband that she got with the tutu...other times she rips it off.

Daisy snoozing in her car seat with her newly repaired hat (thanks grammy!)

Daisy figured out how to stick her legs out between her crib...she didn't like it when they would get stuck.

Walking around in her tutu again...

What has become a typical occurrence...Daisy playing hard, then falling asleep in her high chair while eating.

From Game...

A video David took from his seats in the first half of the game... he and my dad have seats 10 rows from the field, courtesy of a friend of my parents.

Let's hope the Hokies can keep it up! :)

Snowy Saturday

Well the snow that was predicted has arrived...

Here's an early view from our deck

A later view

And a final view from tonight

Daisy and I have stayed in the warmth most of the day. David went to Charlotte with my dad to see the Hokies play tonight!

Daisy has had a bath (she enjoys sitting in the "big" tub now)

She also enjoys wearing her orange and her tutu at the same... what can I say?

Just a little while ago she fell asleep in the high chair eating dinner..

That's about it for our Saturday so far... I'd say we got about 3 inches of snow so far. As for the rest of the day, let's hope we have plenty of reasons to cheer tonight!

Blacksburg Christmas!

Tonight marked Blacksburg's annual Christmas celebration! It included pictures with Santa, the tree lighting, hot chocolate and cider in the farmer's market, tubas and choirs, and the parade.

We met Daisy's friend Penelope (and her mom) downtown and started with Santa pictures. The girls are basically the same age (a few weeks apart) and neither had ever done Santa before. Let's just say they are not looking forward to doing it again. They both were TERRIFIED of Santa. But we had waited in line for 40 minutes so we took pics anyway.

Daisy and Santa -- she is NOT a fan.

Penelope did a little better on her turn.
We tried one more time with both of them -- no dice! :)
At least we have some great blackmail photos for when they are teenagers!

After Santa, we went and grabbed some free hot beverages and enjoyed the crowds around the farmer's market. We listened to several songs by the tubas. Our friends went home, and we walked to the Cellar to eat dinner, just like we did last year. While in the Cellar (right downtown), the tree was lit and the parade got underway. We might have stuck around outside after eating but it was flurrying snow and it was VERY cold outside! So we headed home and snuggled inside in the warmth.

On the way to our car, we took these photos of us by the big tree:

Fun night on the town, and it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas in Blacksburg!
