Although I (Wendy) started this blog in 2008, I have been publishing my thoughts online for a while. My old "thoughts" page where I used to post can be found here. This contains writings that go back to 2003, however many of the links are dead at this point. I'm working to get those old posts back up. My poems page is also on my old site.

Blog roll... (blogs I read, even if I don't always agree with)
Wendy ordered a pesto pasta with something similar to a macaroni pasta, but thicker.
I believe Hilary ordered the gnocchi. (Dom had the lasagna, also)
No meal is complete without the classic... Hilary loves the classic, as does our good friend back home, Wade... Wade really likes it a lot, but Hilary loves it so much, she stole mine at the end of the meal polishing off the rest of my coke!
No trip to italy is complete without Gelato.
Isn't she beautiful?
I can't remember what they got. I think Wendy had a chocolate and coconut, but I can't recall. You could select up to three flavors, so I did. I selected the lemon, coconut and chocolate. I would give up ice cream in the states, if we could get get gelato... In the US we add 'mix-ins' to our ice cream, candy bars, fruit, chocolate, marshmallows, nuts, etc. to make our ice cream good, because the ice cream by itself is rarely that good...at least compared to the gelato. Mmmm... it didn't need any toppings or mix-ins, just a bigger bowl.
We are leaders with New Life Christian Fellowship in Blacksburg. We used to spend a lot of time with college students as part of NLCF Campus, and this is how our home was named "houseofchinn." Some of the students in the bible study we led started calling our house that and it just stuck. So "HOC" was born. Even though we don't lead a bible study for undergrads anymore, we do lead one with the Downtown Congregation of New Life Christian Fellowship. Our group has married couples, kids, graduate students, public school teachers, community members, you name it. We still love having people over, building into lives, and we love working with our local church.
One of my (Wendy's) roles is speaking periodically on Sundays, and I'm working on getting a page up soon with links to some past talks. Stay tuned...
